Westwood College
Westwood College has offered career-oriented technical education since the mid-fifties. Originally known as the Denver Institute of Technology, the college has grown, and now has campuses in California, Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, and Georgia. The college offers accelerated Associate and Bachelor degree programs that can be completed in as little as 17 months. Classes are offered during the days, in the evenings, and on the weekends.
Westwood offers more than just hands-on training. Each campus has a career center where students can attend employer recruiting events, and get advice on job search strategies, resume creation, and interviewing. Alumni can update their skills at any time by taking classes in the program they graduated in, with no additional charge, except for books and materials. Not every degree program is offered at every campus.
Degree Programs
Information Technology - Network Management - Bachelor degree
Prepare for a career in the rapidly growing field of local area and wide area networking with the Bachelor degree in Computer Network Management. Students in this program gain theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in systems analysis and troubleshooting of network configurations. Students also develop business and problem solving skills to help them get started in their careers.

Game Software Development - Bachelor Degree
This program explores the skills required for software engineering in the video game environment. Students develop their mathematical, computer, and analytical skills as they learn to program interactive video games and interactive entertainment.

Information Technology / Systems Security - Bachelor Degree
Companies are increasingly seeing the need to protect their computer networks and systems against the threats posed by hackers, computer viruses, and even internal sabotage. The Bachelor in Information Technology / Systems Security program provides the training needed to identify security threats and develop the appropriate responses to them. Students learn to deploy firewalls and other counter measures, and manage network security solutions.
